The Read-Along
For our deep-Autumn read-along, we’ll be reading Wuthering Heights, a tale of passion and vengeance on the lonely Yorkshire Moors. The read-along will take place November 1 - December 31, 2021, primarily in Discord. Please be sure to vote for a time and date for our Virtual Meet-up!

The Knit-Along
Grab your yarn and needles and get ready to cast on The Grange Socks! Simply download the pattern from our Circle pattern shop.
Yarn Choices
This textured and cabled pattern was inspired by the rocky, heather-covered Moors, and the Flinders Range sock set from Explorer Knits + Fibers was the perfect colorway to embody the landscape in Wuthering Heights. I hope it inspires you to find a variegated skein in your stash for this pattern. The Contrasting mini is optional; however, if you have a scrap to use… use it for the toe. The pattern continues from the foot into the toe, and switching yarns at this point looks especially cool.
See the note below regarding the squishiness of the pattern… play that up by selecting a round 80/20 sock yarn or even an MCN base.
Squish Factor = High
The pattern on the front of the foot is mega-squishy! For this reason, it may pull in a bit, making your sock look oddly curved as you work on it. This is TOTALLY normal! You will definitely want to block. And don’t worry, the sock looks GREAT on!
KAL Details
The Knit-along will last from Today (October 31) - December 31. Yes! A Halloween to New Year’s Eve KAL. Ha! On December 31, our next pattern will be revealed and we’ll start a new knit-along.
How to enter:
For this KAL, we’ll be simplifying. We will have two KALs, one on Instagram and one on Discord. You may enter both.
Discord: Participation! Just chat and post progress pictures in the thread that I will open for the Grange KAL. Just like I did for Manderley, I’ll also open an FO thread for finished sock photos and entry for the grand prize.
Instagram: Post a progress picture using #TheGrangeSocks and you’ll be entered into that KAL.
