Drawing inspiration from The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden, the three-pattern Winternight Collection is made for nights when you need a little extra comfort from your knitting.

Yarn
You’ll need either one (1) approx. 100 g skein of fingering weight yarn OR one (1) approx. 100 g skein of DK weight yarn

Needles & Notions

  • DK Version: US 3/3.25 mm - 32” Circular for magic loop or preferred sock needles.

  • Fingering Version: US 1/2.25 mm - 32” Circular for magic loop or preferred sock needles.

  • Stitch markers

  • Tapestry needle

  • Cable needle (optional)

Gauge

  • DK Version: US 3/3/25 mm - Approx. 7 stitches per inch in stockinette.

  • Fingering Version: US 1/2.25 mm - Approx. 7-8 stitches per inch in stockinette. 

Sizes

  • DK 1 (2, 3) [Fingering 1 (2, 3)]  to fit foot circumference of approximately 8-9” (9-10”, 10-11”). 

Sizes are presented as DK sizes first, then Fingering sizes inside the square brackets. I highly recommend highlighting your size throughout the pattern before casting on. 

Where a stitch count is the same for all sizes on the same weight, as in the Heel Turn, counts will be presented as follows: DK [Fingering].

Samples shown in Size 2, knit on US 3 (DK) and US 1 (Fingering). Socks have negative ease with plenty of stretch to ensure a snug fit while still pulling easily over the heel.
